Angela Thompson Massage Therapy

Welcome

My mission is to create a safe space for you to be present in your body. Your massage therapy treatment is designed specifically for you to address your health and wellness goals.

Nestled in at “Manzanita Ville” on Galiano Island, the traditional unceded territory of the Penelakut, Hlwitsum, and other Hul’qumi’num speaking peoples as well as the ceded Tsawassen First Nation. We are easy to locate and there is extra parking out back. If parking out back you will find stairs or a trail on either side of the building to take you to the street level. The office is a short walk from Sturdies Bay ferry terminal.

Here are a few details about my clinic for you

My office is open concept so there is no receptionist or waiting area inside. I do leave 15 minutes in between clients to prepare for the next person. Arriving a few moments early is perfect. (2-5 minutes for kicking your coat and shoes off or using the bathroom). I accept most forms of payment but e-transfer is my favourite.

You are the expert on your body! Please express your comfort preferences at any time; Temperature, level of undressing, music volume, and massage pressure. This is your personalized experience so lead the way. I look forward to seeing you.

Manual Student Therapist

Osteopathic manual practitioners use hands on techniques to create full body balance. This helps to improve overall wellbeing and functional movements while reducing pain. The student therapist will do postural assessment, offer active and passive movements, and manual techniques but does not diagnose or claim to be offering therapeutic treatment.

Angela has been a Registered Massage Therapist since 2005. She graduated from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in New Westminster but has continued to take training in the areas of TMJ (jaw) dysfunctions, chronic pain management and various healing techniques.

Angela’s treatments include a blend of intuition and science based best practices to address and alleviate your symptoms. Her somatic approach encourages you to be in your body so that we can mindfully approach the sensitivity within the nervous system.

Angela is also a yoga teacher and movement coach. She was the dry land training coach with Special Olympics in Fort St John, BC, and has offered corporate yoga to companies like Canfor.
